"From the Mist" was inspired by a photo used with permission from Kostas Fikas of Athens, Greece. I created this originally as a demonstration during a private art lesson. This charcoal piece was created with powdered charcoal, vine charcoal, stick and pencil charcoal, white charcoal on toned paper. I love how he appears to be emerging from the mist, lending to a mysterious feel.

Michelle Garlock is a classically trained artist who has studied with several artists across the US and internationally in Italy and France.
