"Gentle Giant" is based on a photo I took during a wildlife photography workshop in Montana. This grizzly had such a fun personality! I combined traditional charcoal with an abstract background to put a new twist on an age old technique.
Michelle Garlock is a classically trained artist who has studied with several artists across the US and internationally in Italy and France. She has a BS in Art Therapy and a Masters in Educational Administration. She is the owner of Master Peace Painting that specializes in traditional drawing and painting as well as decorative arts. She is a certified forensic artist and assists Stuart Parks Forensic Associates in teaching law enforcement personnel and civilians how to draw. Michelle is a jewelry designer that specializes in wire wrapping. Michelle is a certified teacher offering private and group lessons in drawing, watercolor, acrylics, oils, and jewelry making.
