This piece was inspired by my first trip to see the Genesee Valley Hunt Club Races in Western NY. The fundraiser for the Hunt Club featured a parade of hounds. This charcoal and graphite drawing is based on one of the photographs I took that day. The original is 24x18 inches and is on 100lb drawing paper.
Michelle Garlock is a classically trained artist who has studied with several artists across the US and internationally in Italy and France. She has a BS in Art Therapy and a Masters in Educational Administration. She is the owner of Master Peace Painting that specializes in traditional drawing and painting as well as decorative arts. She is a certified forensic artist and assists Stuart Parks Forensic Associates in teaching law enforcement personnel and civilians how to draw. Michelle is a jewelry designer that specializes in wire wrapping. Michelle is a certified teacher offering private and group lessons in drawing, watercolor, acrylics, oils, and jewelry making.
